New playback screen
Create a better interface for playback without an ever present list of options. The expanding tableview cells are an annoyance. ;)

Hi Tibor,
I fully agree to Jake. Simple playback screen would be nice (similar to the iOS default music app) since I also miss the "home" or "now playing" screen like Jake mentioned. When I used the app for the first time I was instinctively searching for a way to escape from the setting menu. But there wasn't ;) Some options you need to change only once at the beginning of using the app so there is no reason for me to have it on the main screen. I would be fine with the album cover in the center, volume on bottom and play/elapsed time on top of the Cover. Tapping the cover change to the EQ/Preamp view. May also can toggle it, remember you had something similar on the iPad app 3.21. Last but not least somewhere on the screen a small options button (gear-wheel) which call the current tableview (except of volume, album cover and EQ/Preamp) where all the other settings can be defined. Just an idea, let's see what users think about ;)Regards, Uwe

Cool. I don't mean to put down the idea of a list of functionality. Maybe a better idea or explanation would be:
All of my listening is done in a vehicle, so once I've set my preferences and such in this list , I prefer to have only music controls and album artwork displayed. I know I can display artwork on the list. But everything is so cluttered together it's difficult to operate while driving in a safe manner. This is just me, I know you need to accommodate all users, but perhaps a "Driving mode" could be included in the future with a minimal interface (standard playback controls and artwork & current playback progress) - gesture controls are also a welcomed option.

Yea, text behind sliders is on the to fix list.
As for the interface, I am still not quite clear on what bugs you. I understand it feels like a menu for you but really, it is a list of functionality that you can expand or contract on demand.
One improvement we are looking into is to make the selections more permanent. Say you like to have the album art expanded, Equalizer should remember that and have album art expanded so you don't always have to do it every time you do a fresh launch. As such there is definitely things we are fine-tuning. Equalizer 4 is not in its final stage yet. But we don't want to rush in and do too many changes at once either. Rather see what pans out and what needs to be fixed.
If you would like to have us re-arrange certain elements, please let me know. We have listened to users already when we moved the transport slider up in the hierarchy (from version 4.0 to 4.01)So we are working on an update but we also take our time and try not to change too many things at once.

It's not that's it's missing anything. It's that it gives the feeling of being constantly in a menu (or settings dialogue). I would like to feel like I'm at a "home" or "now playing screen.
One other thing I wanted to mention is the text that falls behind (or on top of) the sliders in several cells makes it appear misaligned and/or "bugged".
I love the apps features , just seems like the UI/UX could use a little fine tuning
